I saw the episode of the JDMA and let me tell you, I was upset. I know that Janice had a beautiful body and that she worked hard for it. But that certainly doesn’t mean that she is allowed to come down on people with less than perfect bodies. Being plus sized myself, it’s insulting. If you have a beautiful face and a can take great pictures, you should be able to model.
In my opinion, size 0 isn’t a size. It’s the absence of size.
Janice also has to understand that just because you are a plus size doesn’t mean that you are unhealthy. I might be a size 14/16, but I am a healthy person. I know people that are thin that have very high blood pressure and cholesterol.
Janice, of all people, should understand what it’s like to come over adversity. When she got into the modeling industry, all the models were blond haired and blue eyed. She had to compete with Cheryl Teigs and Christie Brinkley. She over came that and took the modeling world by storm. She showed that you can have dark hair and eyes and still be beautiful. She paved the way for exotic looking models. So she should be more understanding of someone trying to break the stereotypical mold of modeling. It’s people like Janice, that make it hard to be a plus sized person and to try to do things, like modeling, that we want to do.
Instead of promoting fat or thin, models should should promote health.
Honestly, how many people really wear Haute Couture? Everybody wears clothes, so why should I have to wear something ugly and sack looking because a designer won’t go bigger than a size 10? I want to be stylish, too.
So, I give props to Ivory,Alana and all plus sized models out there. Keep doing what you are doing, because plus sized modeling will become mainstream. ANTM did it by having Whitney win, first plus model having done so. Hopefully narrow minded people, like Janice, will see that every size is beautiful.

Janice is beautiful… albeit in a very commercial, plastic way…UNTIL she opens her mouth!!! Then, she lets all the ugliness and insecurity pour out. All I can see is an envious, competetive, miserable person who tries to level the playing field with anyone she envies, by pulling them down like a carrion bird — and clawing out their eyes. It’s amazing anyone wants to associate themselves with her, even professionally. She is a toxic person, incapable of being “for” anyone but herself. She has nothing to offer anyone except others of her same ilk, and that is only to justify each others’ behavior. In any other profession, she would have already been shown the door. Unfortunately, the modeling world is full of insecure, grasping people, so trying to navigate that world with a level head and a modicum of self esteem is difficult and treacherous.

My advice is to steer as far from her as possible. Don’t even try to engage her. She’s a fool. She advertises this every time she opens her mouth. She is aging, desperately grasping for the last traces of her youth and beauty, and instead of aging gracefully. She’s at war with anyone who unwittingly challenges her flimsy self-esteem. She intentionallyh sabotages people and makes sport of it. I’ve watched it.

Everything I’ve heard come out of her cancerous mouth tells me she envies plus models because they love themselves for more than their size. Janice has invested her entire self into becoming plasticene perfection (yuck), and anyone that threatens her ivory tower of values and ideals threatens her innermost self.

You can’t talk reason to a fool. The only person she ought to be talking to is a therapist.
