Tyra’s Fiercely Real Model Contest Winner, Sheridan Watson Is Fierce!

The Tyra Show had it’s first Fiercely Real Model Contest which focused on teens across America who are not afraid to flaunt their curves.The teens were brought to the show and had to perform challenges similar to those on Americas Next Top Model. While Sheridan was one of my favorites, I would have loved to see Stephanie win. She was a cute Latina with a wonderful smile. The judges included Ann Shoket, editor of Seventeen Magazine, Wilhelmina’s new W Curve Director John IIani and once again blond Whitney Thompson, the only plus size model to win on America’s Next Top Model.

Tyra, who has long been an advocate for size acceptance, has tried using her celebrity and status to bring forth change within the entertainment industry. Her model search was part of her new BIO (Beauty Inside and Out) campaign which promises to challange the media, television, fashion and people in the world to see true beauty.
