It was a dreary and rainy day in NYC on February 25, 2011 and I would be lying if I did not say I was a little concerned about the outcome of Ashley Stewart’s Coast to Coast Model Search. As I read my Twitter feed, the LA crowd was also commenting about the bad weather, and my concern really was turned up a notch. Would model hopefuls come out and brave the weather for a shot to work with Ashley Stewart, PLUS Model Magazine and Chenese Lewis?
Well, the ladies came out in New York and Los Angeles for the Ashley Stewart Coast to Coast Curves Model Search without regard to the weather.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by smiling faces, a friendly energy from the staff and the model hopefuls standing in line. I spent three hours on my feet, greeting and watching as all the women took their place in front of the camera. It was an enjoyable time spent with new and familiar faces which include the Ashley Stewart staff. They were just as excited as we were about the model search, and having that support was really touching to the contestants and to PMM.
I spoke to Chenese Lewis after the model search was over in LA, and she was equally as happy at the outcome. Chenese had many beautiful women lined up before she came in through the door at Ashley Stewart in the Culver City Mall, and experienced the same great energy. I was so glad that I got a chance to come to the event. It was tough because of the weather and coming from Boston but was all worth it! It was great to meet Maddy and the gang too because finally I could put a real face to the name and pictures I always see online! Can’t wait to hear the results!

Hey Anna! I met a lot of beautiful curvy divas and got to see Maddy again (yey) I watched her pose for a pic my sis in law took as I waited in line and felt so happy cause I admire her so much. Everyone was super nice and I am telling you that I can write a mini book on my experience getting there, being there and meeting new faces. Good luck to everyone …..I LOVE AS!!!
I was hoping to meet you Jesika! I guess you came in after I had left but you are so right about the weather. I had to run into the Payless next door and buy socks because my feet were soaked, LOL!
I wore flats in and carried my heels but the flats could not deal with all that rain…I don’t care though because I would do it all over again!!!!
