I am looking forward to neutral tones. I am especially needing a pair of nude sandals for the summer, loving that new trend!

  3. says

I am definitely looking forward to floral prints. Even though some people are of the opinion that plus size women should stay away from floral prints, I love them and I am able to work with prints that suit my personality and style. I hope I win this contest. I would love to go to FFF week diva style!

  4. Steamy Rotundy says

Wedges – check! Florals – check! Wide-leg pants – check, check! And can I get a “WOO-HOO!” for the return of the Maxi dress!!! We goddess types are going to work those maxi dresses like a Full time job!!

  5. robin cricket says

This summer, everything will be be smelling a little sweeter with florals! It is the goto trend for the season. Florals are versatile, sassy, and sexy. Play’em up, or play’em down. Florals can easily take center stage w/bright colors. Or they can be a beautiful supporting cast as part of an accesory. Paired w/denim florals become cool and casual, but paired with a power suite florals can add that certain little feminine flair!
Now THAT’S my kind of trend!

  6. Danielle says

I’m looking forward to Neutral tones!! I love how they give me the opportunity to add more accessories to each outfit! The also give every woman that natural glow! xoxo

  7. Brittani Sterling says

I’m looking forward to mixing all three. A floral dress with nude heels is up there on my things to do list. Also Wide leg pants have never gone out of style for me, so I’m glad everyone else is coming back to their senses! :-)

  8. Candace says

I love every bit of all three of those. I swear I’m finally in style. I love the way that vintage is in and you can so perfectly incorporate the florals, neautrals and wide leg pants into any vintage style. Love it!! To the person that said wedges… Yes to that too. They are so comfortable and cute perfect with almost any outfit!!

  9. Michele Lawson says

I would love to “come out of my box” and wear wide leg pants or a floral print., but I love the crisp look of neutral tones. I would like to see more neutral tones because they accentuate my skin tone and they go with most other colors if you chose to add more color to your outfit.

  10. Nikki R says

I’m looking forward to neutrals!!! I have been saving favorites on my computer at home of things I would like to purchase for the upcoming summer season.. cant wait!!!!!

  11. Kim Mayweather says

I am looking forward to the returned of the wide leg pant! Put on a tank and high heel nude colored sandals and you are good to go!

  12. Kim Mayweather says

The wide leg pant would also look good with a boy friend blazer or a fitted jean Jacket!

  13. says

I’m looking forward to neutrals the most. A neutral outfit is like a blank canvas. You can pretty much tailor it to your taste ( whether playing it up or down- adding accessories and letting them be the star). Knowing that I can kick up the heat of a neutral garment by fashionably accessorizing and making a bold statement, makes me gravitate towards a neutral tone. I’m still looking for the proper pair of nude tone pumps. Can’t wait!

  14. Terri McCarthy says

I am looking forward to the wide leg pants. I have very long legs (33″ inseam) and I am very proud of them. The wide leg pant makes them look even longer and leaner. I love it.

  15. Tre' says

I am looking forward to neutral tones. They are beautiful and elegant. Most of the clothing colors you see in Boston are grays and blacks with it being very cold for most of the year. Now that it is finally warming I can start wearing some lighter neutral colors. I really really really want to attend FFF!

  16. Jessica Drake says

I am looking forward to cute flowing cropped tops and the neutrals are also catching my eye. I shopping currently for a pair of nude platform pumps which are great for accessorizing with almost any outfit and can be a life saver when other shoes in your closet are not coordinating the way you would like.

  17. says

Definitely looking forward to floral prints since I already rock the wide leg pants and neutral colors. Gonna try and go outside of my comfort zone this summer! A cute floral bubble dress…maybe a flowy floral top…even a wide leg floral pant…hmmm…sounds super caute!

  18. d says

I am looking dorward to the return of wide leg pants with some wedge heels , a cute tank and some funky accessories…work it now diva!!

  19. T. Wright says

I am looking forward to the return of the wide leg pants! You can drees that look up, or dress down to a cool bohemain casual. Yes, this summer that is REALLY going to be a good look!

  20. says

I am personally looking forward to the return of floral prints. For soo long Full Figured Clothing has been limited to the three options listed as our choices. FINALLY, the time has come and we are beginning to these these same patterns come to life on the runway.

Floral prints make Full Figured Divas look fun and inviting so I am delighted to see these designs return as our Summer 2011 Trends.

  21. Tamia Bright says

I am totally looking toward to the floral trend. But all three would look marvelous together. Whimsical floral top paired with wide leg pants and a neutral pump or wedge….I’m in love

  22. T. Thompkins says

The will be looking forward to the floral prints this year. Flowers are given to mother, daughter and women all year around to show love, appreciate, and just to make you feel special. Floral prints have that same effect. They always make me feel that love and that happiness in the colors and designs. Floral can also be spotted from a mile away so they make you feel special.

  23. TaNashea McLeod says

I am looking forward to all three of these summer trends. In fact I have already begun to incorporate floral prints, neutral tones, and wide leg pants into my wardrobe. I’m most looking forward to neutral tones, because neutrals go great with every skin tone and they allow you to be colorful and creative with the rest of your out-fit.

  24. says

I’m so excited about the return of sexy neutrals! My absolute favorite being nude, of course. So many of us take these gorgeous, universally flattering shades for granted. I, for one, cannot wait to let the sun bronze my skin and rock a nude coctail dress with a pretty, eclectic pair of wedges and statement-piece jewelry. Nothing says it’s warm weather like neutrals!

  25. milaxx says

I’m usually all abut bright colors, but I’m kinda looking forward to Neutrals. #FFFWeek2011

  26. Le Amber says

I am lookin forward to the wide leg and floral prints. Both looks can translate to evening or daytime wear. I love looks that can be versatile. The wide leg will give comfort and the floral will give color and drama to ur everyday look.

  27. Christina Marshall says

Welcome back Wide Legs! Oh wait, you never left me. Like any full fashionable vixen, if I love something, I incorporate it into my wardrobe. Wide legs re-appear in my style lineup every so often, along with other pieces that aren’t considered “in style” at the time. In that way, I drive fashion as much as I follow it. Perhaps Wide Legs are back because I willed it so. (smile) xo. <3 Being Voluptuous.

  28. Zuri says

I am sooooo looking forward to florals…. but not too sweet- I want some bada%$ blossoms with bling in my closet repertoire! lolol :):)

  29. says

The upcoming trend I am most looking forward to is, neutral tones. I am a COLOR girl… Bright, loud, vibrant colors have been my love FOREVER! As I open myself up to stepping outside of my comfort zone and dabbling in the latest in Plus Size fashion trends, I most anticipate the experience of my journey toward neutrals… Giving it shot! :o)

  30. LaTrisha A. Walton says

I look forward to (2) trends coming back; the wide leg pants and the neutral tones. I love the way the wide leg pants look when they are paired with a nice stiletto. I think they just flow nicely. I look forward to the neutral tones to really make a statement this year as black has always been my favorite color, however I like the way beige and taupe looks when colorful accessories are added to it!

  31. Amanda says

I LOVE the neutrals especially in a pair of sexy sling back peep toes which help to elongate the leg. I like the feminine florals as well but to be honest I am not too keen on the wide leg pants I prefer a more fitted look. YAY #FFF

  32. says

I am looking forward to all three trends. Pairing wide leg jeans, with a flowy floral top and the platform neutral color wedges is going to be my s/s outfit ot choice. totally return of the 70’s

  33. Ruby Rosener says

A long or short Tropical dress with bright flowers and cute wedges, light makeup and nice tan!

  34. Chavon Coleman says

I’m loving the neutrals and how they can be paired with a floral accent. Some vintage wash high waisted shorts with a nice floral crop top paired with a neutral wedge and your good to go. I am loving this seasons trends for a change and I am gladly stepping out of my usual all black box.

  35. Nikole says

I am looking forward to color. This winter was a little drab so I want to explode with color this summer.

  36. Adrienne Burch says

I am looking forward to wide leg pants because they have a very classic and elegant feel to them and I know how to make them accentuate my curves and allow my style to shine through.

  43. Candace C. says

The trends that I am looking forward to the most is the combination of floral print tops with wide legged pants. I am employed at Ashley Stewart and I’m seeing the trend of wide legged linen pants and sheer floral print tops. When you add jewelery and accessories, it makes a beautiful outfit combination.

  44. Jenna says

My favorite trend for summer every year seems to be floral prints. I especially love to rock with bright colors and more tropical and exotic looking florals.

  46. Sharon McIntyre says

What is up to all of my BBBW & FFF fam?! So you wanna know what trend I’m bananas for? Well duhh , the floral asymmetrical satin tops of course. I mean I am seeing them everywhere so it would be almost impossible to ignore them. Now I prefer the floral watercolor tops in vibrant hues of seafoam greens and ocean blues. I plan on drowning myself in enough florals to make a friggin garden lol. The only thing that can add to the beauty of the floral asy tops are the awesome accessories out this season. We’re talkin chain belts, multiple necklaces, faux rings and tons of bangles. No matter what anyone says ladies in our plus size world, more is always most definitely MORE! I am gonna rock this look all summa grrls in only the way i the divalicious Jersey girl that I am. Hotness on a stick so one last time satin floral tops and plenty of costume jewelry tell your BFF’s so you can lol at all the skinny chicks who hate on your full figured fabulosity . I mean OMG! ( ok enough of the annoying txt speak) What are y’all waitin for ladies? Stop readin and get to shoppin. Smooches

Hot diggity dang! I guess my wish has been granted. Thank God for bringing the ‘70s flavor back to the world this spring! I am in love with the hippie-chic trends: the prints (LOVE), platform shoes, flare jeans and especially the wide-leg pants with high-waists. The high-waisted pants are super charming for work and for going out because for either occasion its flattering on curvaceous, coca-cola shaped women, just like you and I :-)

I am so loving the fierce return of florals prints (especially the skirts), graphic prints (http://boxingkitten.com/), polka dots and stripes! This Cheetah Scrunch Mini Skirt was also a gotta-have from Torrid, recently featured on PMM, snag it quickly: http://plus-model-mag.com/2011/05/plus-trend-of-the-day-cheetah-scrunch-hem-mini-skirt-from-torrid-com/
(Boxing Kitten, http://boxingkitten.com/ is one of my favourite new sites, the skirts and dresses and all their pieces are amazing!)

(continued from previous post) I am also digging the peasant blouses and mixing up all prints. My hands-down favorite print is leopard. I have so much leopard print in my closet that it’s actually OUT OF CONTROL – even my ear muffs and undergarments and notebooks for school and way more stuff are leopard print. Oh, and so are my prescription pair of glasses – a very classy pair from D&G.

It’s cool to mix up prints don’t be scared, but the trick is to make sure the different prints are the same color scheme. Everything else must be neutral and not too dramatic so simple shoes and jewelry will work great. Love me some prints, can’t get enough!

The one thing I hope to see more of this spring are wedges, especially the ones that strap up around your ankle with buckles, super sexy! AND I want to see platform shoes and, of course, you guessed it, PLATFORM WEDGES! LOL I haven’t done too much research yet but I haven’t seen many options around for wedges in larger sizes like 10 1/2 or 11. Any suggestions? Let me know! In any case, the neutral tones and simple colors for wedges work well with prints and they will always compliment those newly polished toes ;-)

SN: since the ‘70s are officially back, do you think we can also bring back the Parliament and Funkadelic musical geniuses? Love me some George Clinton. If you do not know who that is, please get from underneath that rock and start living and funkin’ to the FUNKY MUSIC! <3

I shy away from wide leg pants because they just make me look bigger than I already am! I LOVE the rare occasion when cargo capris are actually flattering… I LOVE full skirts with a 50’s vibe, especially if the come to mid calf or lower. Bring on the bright prints and solid neutrals; I am ready for plus-sized sundresses to finally happen in a flattering way!
