The trends that I am looking forward to the most is the combination of floral print tops with wide legged pants. I am employed at Ashley Stewart and I’m seeing the trend of wide legged linen pants and sheer floral print tops. When you add jewelery and accessories, it makes a beautiful outfit combination.

My favorite trend for summer every year seems to be floral prints. I especially love to rock with bright colors and more tropical and exotic looking florals.

I am ALLLL about the return of wide leg pants. I love that the 70′s trends are taking over. VOLUME is so fun to play with and a lot of plus women think they can’t rock volume, but we can–when it’s done right. High waisted wide leg pants with a nice blouse and GOOD shoe–so chic! Check these wide leg pants out! http://rhapsodani.com/thefrugalfatshionista/2011/5/2/red-bottoms.html

What is up to all of my BBBW & FFF fam?! So you wanna know what trend I’m bananas for? Well duhh , the floral asymmetrical satin tops of course. I mean I am seeing them everywhere so it would be almost impossible to ignore them. Now I prefer the floral watercolor tops in vibrant hues of seafoam greens and ocean blues. I plan on drowning myself in enough florals to make a friggin garden lol. The only thing that can add to the beauty of the floral asy tops are the awesome accessories out this season. We’re talkin chain belts, multiple necklaces, faux rings and tons of bangles. No matter what anyone says ladies in our plus size world, more is always most definitely MORE! I am gonna rock this look all summa grrls in only the way i the divalicious Jersey girl that I am. Hotness on a stick so one last time satin floral tops and plenty of costume jewelry tell your BFF’s so you can lol at all the skinny chicks who hate on your full figured fabulosity . I mean OMG! ( ok enough of the annoying txt speak) What are y’all waitin for ladies? Stop readin and get to shoppin. Smooches

Hot diggity dang! I guess my wish has been granted. Thank God for bringing the ‘70s flavor back to the world this spring! I am in love with the hippie-chic trends: the prints (LOVE), platform shoes, flare jeans and especially the wide-leg pants with high-waists. The high-waisted pants are super charming for work and for going out because for either occasion its flattering on curvaceous, coca-cola shaped women, just like you and I :-)

I am so loving the fierce return of florals prints (especially the skirts), graphic prints (http://boxingkitten.com/), polka dots and stripes! This Cheetah Scrunch Mini Skirt was also a gotta-have from Torrid, recently featured on PMM, snag it quickly: http://plus-model-mag.com/2011/05/plus-trend-of-the-day-cheetah-scrunch-hem-mini-skirt-from-torrid-com/
(Boxing Kitten, http://boxingkitten.com/ is one of my favourite new sites, the skirts and dresses and all their pieces are amazing!)

(continued from previous post) I am also digging the peasant blouses and mixing up all prints. My hands-down favorite print is leopard. I have so much leopard print in my closet that it’s actually OUT OF CONTROL – even my ear muffs and undergarments and notebooks for school and way more stuff are leopard print. Oh, and so are my prescription pair of glasses – a very classy pair from D&G.

It’s cool to mix up prints don’t be scared, but the trick is to make sure the different prints are the same color scheme. Everything else must be neutral and not too dramatic so simple shoes and jewelry will work great. Love me some prints, can’t get enough!

The one thing I hope to see more of this spring are wedges, especially the ones that strap up around your ankle with buckles, super sexy! AND I want to see platform shoes and, of course, you guessed it, PLATFORM WEDGES! LOL I haven’t done too much research yet but I haven’t seen many options around for wedges in larger sizes like 10 1/2 or 11. Any suggestions? Let me know! In any case, the neutral tones and simple colors for wedges work well with prints and they will always compliment those newly polished toes ;-)

SN: since the ‘70s are officially back, do you think we can also bring back the Parliament and Funkadelic musical geniuses? Love me some George Clinton. If you do not know who that is, please get from underneath that rock and start living and funkin’ to the FUNKY MUSIC! <3

I shy away from wide leg pants because they just make me look bigger than I already am! I LOVE the rare occasion when cargo capris are actually flattering… I LOVE full skirts with a 50′s vibe, especially if the come to mid calf or lower. Bring on the bright prints and solid neutrals; I am ready for plus-sized sundresses to finally happen in a flattering way!
