Congratulations on having the courage to bring the conversation into our awareness again. What i struggle with is how do we make lasting change-
I believe it starts when WE truly accept our bodies each day with gratitude.
Honouring ourselves for our highest good takes a relentless ongoing inward focus that reveals itself outwardly in our form. Can we love ourselves enough to no longer want to be like anyone but who we are?

Thanks to all the staff at PMM and especially Maddy for helping to make the difference in the lives of plus sized women everywhere. In a world where teens and women are not skinny enough, it is a breath of fresh air to click through the pages and see and read about the fabulous plus sized women in this world doing their thing whether it is in modeling, writing, doing makeup whatever. I love PMM and am thankful for such a publication that truly LOVES the “fat girl”. We are beautiful any size or shape that we come in and we will continue to THRIVE!

I am so overjoyed that someone is finally speaking up for us! I quit modeling because “the industry” forced me to be anorexic and bulimic. I had hips, (bootylicious) and the clients and agencies from New York to Paris didn’t know what to do with that issue, other than continually tell me to lose weight. I worked out, WALKED to all of my go-sees in Barcelona, and was never skinny enough for runway. When I worked and lived in Japan, my agency lied on my comp card about my height and size, just so clients would see me. I was a size 8. Most of my work was catalog, beauty, and hair campaigns (the salons. and hair stylists loved my thick full bodied hair. Thank you Madeline Figueroa Jones for being the voice of real women and the plus size model.
