Baltimore, MD, January 16, 2012 – Curves Rock Fashion Weekend (CRFW) officially announces the launch of its website (www.curvesrockweekend.com), a weekend dedicated to increasing the self-esteem of the plus size community, promoting healthy lifestyles and bringing fashion that caters to the woman with curves (sizes 10 and up). The website has a host of information: statistics about plus sizes in the fashion world, gives fashion tips and shows a photo gallery of famous curvy celebrities.
Though the website is just officially launching, over the past few weeks statistics show that Curves Rock Fashion Weekend’s website has gotten visitors from all over the U.S. and even other countries. The website developed by Keitaj Images & Designs (www.keitaj.com) is loved by many and people are really excited over this event because there is a tremendous need for it.
CRFW is excited to announce Chenese Lewis as host of this event. Lewis is the host of PLUS Model Radio (known as the #1 Podcast for plus size women), a sought after keynote speaker and a positive body image and self-esteem advocate. Lewis has a huge following and is excited to be a part of Curves Rock Fashion Weekend. With CRFW having Ms. Lewis as a host, it will surely bring more national attention to Baltimore. This is a highly anticipated fashion event as Maryland and surrounding areas has never had an event of this magnitude that caters to the plus size community or the “fashionably underserved” says founders of Curves Rock Fashion Weekend.
Founders, Chanell Jones and Tykesha Reed (Divas N’ Stilettos Productions) are tirelessly working to bring forth a stellar inaugural event.“We decided it was time to make a huge difference in the fashion arena by helping other plus size women like ourselves and we hope to make this event a life-changing experience for both men and women” says Jones and Reed.
Curves Rock Fashion Weekend will have its first Casting Call on January 29, 2012 from 5pm until 7:30pm at Studio A Modeling and Dance. The studio is located at 3446 Brenbrook Drive, Brenbrook Shopping Center in Randallstown, MD 21133. About Curves Rock Fashion Weekend
Jones and Reed have been in the modeling industry for well over 30 years combined. They have trained hundreds of models and have produced numerous fashion shows. Both of these women are plus size models and have experienced participating in many fashion shows where the designers catered to straight size models. Though unfair, there was not much they could do about it until now. Curves Rock Fashion Weekend was created to increase the self-esteem of the plus size community, promote healthy lifestyles and to showcase fashion, styles and trends that not only cater to the ideal size model but also the woman with curves.
