Dove Does It Again – Campaign Against Negative Advertising
Dove has launched a viral campaign and video to squash negative advertising by replacing it with positive messages. As plus size women we are inundated with negative advertising messages that are intended to make us second guess ourselves. In turn the idea of trying to fit a standard of beauty that frankly, only 3% of our population looks like, is not likely. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and shades so a “one size fits all mentally is an impossibly. It is refreshing that Dove, a brand that celebrates diversity, has once again developed another way to change a negative into a positive. Dove’s Ad Make-over invites you to “give these ads a makeover” by changing ads that “prey on your insecurities and make you feel bad.” While not every woman gives their power of self-esteem over to advertisements, it is fantastic that Dove is giving a go at it. Visit their Facebook page and change topics like “jelly roll” and muffin top” into some enlightening.

Dove is merely trying to capitalize on fat chicks and their shaky egos. They do not care about any of you. It’s a COMPANY.
Only 4% women believe they are beautiful. How sad of a statistic is this? If this add helps in anyway, I am all for it.
