Plus Size Fashion Inspiration: Curvation Lingerie Tells Plus Size Women ‘Curvy Isn’t a Number, It’s An Attitude’ (VIDEO)
Curvation Lingerie recently launched an inspiring and exciting new campaign, which includes a video, telling plus size women to break those fashion rules that they hear often and embrace their curves.
Here are some of the empowering statements made in the video:
“These rules were made to keep us down, but over half of us are size fourteen and up. We are the majority. So show off those curves and see what takes shape.”

Curvation Lingerie‘s new campaign also includes using social media to talk about being fearless in fashion because style comes in all sizes. They encourage Facebook fans to use the hashtag #ShapeofBeauty to spread the positive word. On their Facebook page, Curvation Lingerie uses images with inspiring, powerful statements like ‘Do Your Curves Justice‘ and ‘All Hail Curves‘.
Their recent email, introducing this new campaign, reinforces the empowering statements from the video and Facebook images:
“Fashion is about confidence and fearless self-expression but, for a long time, it has been accessible to a very small percentage of American women. Every woman, no matter her shape or size, should be able to express herself through fashion – after all, more than half of the nation is size 14 or larger. Our products are designed to enhance any woman’s natural curves.”
Our own Fashion & Style Editor Marie Denee is a featured blogger on the Curvation Lingerie website, where their goal was to assemble some of the fearless voices of plus size fashion today who represent the new shape of beauty. Other bloggers featured are Chastity Garner Valentine from Garner Style, CeCe Olisa from Plus Size Princess and Tanesha Awasthi from Girl With Curves.
We applaud Curvation Lingerie for launching a bold campaign that is sure to inspire plus size women everywhere to embrace their curves and break the rules. With 80% of women (not just plus size women) wearing the wrong bra size, we see this as a brilliant way to inspire women from the inside and out while encouraging them to wear bras in the styles they want and feel confident doing so.
