According to Radar Online, actresses Rebel Wilson and Melissa McCarthy have allegedly made a pact to not fall into the Hollywood ‘thin’ trap and lose weight to succumb to the pressures in Hollywood to be thin.

Both actresses have made no secret of the fact that they are confident in their bodies, with Rebel even saying in a past interview that she felt her curves gave her an advantage in Hollywood because it sets her apart from other actresses. Both have been inspiring to fans and their weight has not affected their success in Hollywood at all.

A source told Radar Online:

“Rebel and Melissa have known each other for five years and there’s a lot of love there. Neither one of them is trying to lose weight and they’ve formed this little support group to keep each other from falling into the skinny Hollywood trap.”

The source goes on to say:

“Obviously, they could both snap their fingers and lose the weight because of the resources they have available to them — which could include everything from personal trainers to Lap Band surgery — but right now they’re agreeing with each other that they have to hold the line and provide a positive image for overweight girls everywhere.”

Melissa was once called a ‘female hippo’ by movie critic Rex Reed but those harsh words has not stopped her from pursuing a successful career in Hollywood that continues to soar.

Despite it being a mystery source and alleged claims, this was still positive music to our ears. We hope it is an accurate account and if so, kudos to Rebel and Melissa for staying true to themselves and not letting Hollywood interfere with that.

Rex is usually a great name for a DOG and after reading his silly inappropriate, irrelevant and puerile comments, especially since they make him behave on a par with his name type, perhaps he would be better served changing his name to RICK – the one with a silent ‘P’ at the beginning!;-) Also, why is he described as a movie critic anyway if he can only pass comment on Melissa’s heavenly body? One can only imagine that the movie in which he saw her, must have been brilliant and so he had nothing useful to say to justify his title as critic. However, perhaps he should also drop the word ‘movie’ from his job title so that his puerile comments are not so irrelevant, albeit still very inappropriate and silly.
