It’s official! Actress Gabourey Sidibe will be back for Season 4 of American Horror Story (AHS).
Show creator Ryan Murphy and the cast of AHS: Coven attended PaleyFest 2014, which is two weeks of events where the audience see episodes or highlights of the featured work followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with the cast and creative team.
It was there that Murphy discussed the next season of AHS , which will be titled Freak Show. The new season will be set in a 1950s freak show in Florida with Jessica Lange playing the ringleader. Gabby will be back with co-stars Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Denis O’Hare and Jamie Brewer. It was also announced that actor Michael Chiklis, who was the star of the TV show The Shield, will be joining the cast of Freak Show. He will be playing the ex-husband of Kathy Bates’ character and father to Evan Peters’ character.
Murphy also revealed that there will be some members of the season one and two casts that will return for Freak Show as well.
This is exciting news for AHS fans who loved Gabby in Coven. AHS: Coven was the most watched season of the three seasons. We have a feeling Murphy may outdo himself with Freak Show and we can’t wait to see it.
