Plus Size Event News: Curvy Couture Roadshow Plans To Take Melbourne, Australia By Storm

We love it when we hear of plus size fashion events happening all over the world. With the success of events such as Full Figured Fashion Week in New York City and British Plus Size Fashion Weekend in London, it’s evident that plus size fashion events are very needed and wanted by plus size women who yearn to see the latest fashion on the runway and mingle with the designers and retailers who create them.

Melbourne, Australia is the next city to have their own plus size event, which we are very excited about. The event, Curvy Couture Roadshow, is taking place on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Melbourne, giving a platform for independent and emerging designers within the size 14+ arena a place to showcase their designs to the public, while being a part of Melbourne Fashion Week.

The organizers of this event want to let women, who are a size 14 and above, know that there are many more options for them in the way of clothing. Kerry Pietrobon, owner of Harlow Clothing and Curvy Couture Roadshow committee member told us that their aim is to show these women that “fashion is for everyone no matter what their size”.

There will not only be runway shows but many retailers and designers will have selling booths where you can check out their latest fashion pieces up close and shop in between shows.
