Plus Size Bathing Beauties Make Way for the First-Ever Rooftop Plus Size Pool Party
Essie Golden, fashion blogger and editor of EssieGolden.com will be hosting New York City’s first plus-size pool party this summer.
The popularity of plus size swimwear has soared in recent years as women have begun to embrace their bodies in greater numbers.
Golden, creator of the empowering hashtag movement #GoldenConfidence, has partnered with Rue 107 and Monif C. to offer women in the New York City area, a celebration of curves. The event promises to bring together women of all shapes and sizes as they showcase their unique sense of style at the rooftop pool at the Holiday Inn in New York City.
“I believe in celebrating women, especially plus size women. We’re often considered the undesired ones and are constantly criticized for just existing. This party is about celebrating every single flaw, curve, bump and lump. This year, this is the first I’ve seen so many plus size women become excited for a season we would normally dread. We are buying multiple swimsuits and showing off our curves like never before. I wanted a place where we can all come together and show off our awesome swimsuits while celebrating and supporting each other. That’s what Golden Confidence is about.
