USA Today reports that the new line called Boutique+, will be designed specifically for plus-size customers and available in 500 stores in sizes 0x to 4x. As an added bonus, the new line will also be available in sizes up to 5X on jcp.com, launching in May. For those of us who gripe about the challenge of shopping since most plus size lines are available online, this is amazing news!

Prices will range from $12.99 – $60. They also report that JCPenney is also “debuting an in-store shop called ‘The Boutique’ that will include a variety of brand names, including Tipton’s line coming this fall“.

YESSSSSSS!

We’re so happy that JC Penney is partnering with Tipton, who has always championed for fashion for all women and not just up to a certain size.

We spy some of our favorite plus models in the JC Penney campaign images for Boutique+, such as Jessica Milagros, Sommer Green and Tinder Badhesha (all signed to IPM Model Management). And we LOVE that they are showing body and race diversity in their plus models.

Tipton told USA Today:

“Once you feel good you look good and that projects to everyone. A lot of my inspiration is what straight size women wear — why is there a disconnect from what they wear and what we can wear? I don’t want them to be invisible anymore, I want to show personality.”

We’re so excited for Tipton and this has JC Penney definitely on our radar. Check back on the blog as the May launch date grows closer (a specific day has not been announced yet) for more news and updates on this exciting partnership. JC Penney, we see you!
