Who are we without our support system?

For many of us, our support system traditionally is our family and friends. When you work inside an industry that also embraces the community, it serves your support system in many forms.

2016 was a big year for me personally and professionally.

More than ever, I have seen the community thrive and come together in support for one another. Has there been disappointments and divisiveness? Yes. However, when I step back and look at the BIG PICTURE, our path is open for us to do bigger and better things in 2017.

During this holiday season, let’s remember to embrace ourselves as much as we embrace those around us that we love.

Self-love, kindness and leading with positivity are all attributes we want to keep close to us, even on those days when it seems like the world is literally against us. I know this feeling all too well, but that day does pass and as long as we stay in the game, we will get through it.

It’s been my honor to be able to share components of my life with you.

PLUS Model Magazine has afforded me such an incredible platform as well as getting to know so many brilliant minds, beautiful souls and outstanding business people. Even if this year did not bring all that you imagined, let’s agree to support one another and make 2017 the best year yet.

Lastly, support the industry that supports you…

Bloggers, influencers, stylists, photographers, brands, designers and the countless others who are sacrificing, working and fighting for TRUE equality in the fashion industry for plus size women and men. This includes our very own team at PMM who individually are making great strides in the industry. Together we are so much more powerful than when we are when we give in to those things that divide us.
