I am Only 5′ Tall and Want to Enter Modeling Contests… Should I Even Bother?

Becky from FA Asks…“I’m only 5’0” tall, but want to enter modeling contests…Should I not even bother?”

Any contest whether on-line or not will state if there are height and size requirements. If there are no requirements, then why would you limit yourself? You’d be surprised that some modeling contests really want a girl who represents their customers in all different sizes, ethnicities, height, etc. I say go for it, you have nothing to lose.

If I never tried when I was told I had to be 5′ 9” and over, by certain agencies, I wouldn’t be where I am now.  I sent in my pictures and measurements to agencies that looked at girls under 5′ 9″. There are fewer out there, but do your research. In my past articles I mentioned there are more opportunities for models than just the high fashion type. There are so many opportunities with on-line designers, catalogs, etc. Create your own opportunities!!
