PLUS Model Magazine chose our August 2012/ Denim Issue to celebrate The Next Generation of junior plus size models. These models are some of the most beautiful up and coming junior plus size models from across the U.S. and we want to bring you a little closer to them. Name: Christina BoudreauMy ideal Saturday afternoon would be cruising down to the beach listening to Jack Johnson and surfing at Huntington state beach. Then going down to the Crab Cooker at Balboa Beach to get clam chowder and hot bread to go. Where I will then go to the wedge at Newport, with my notebook, and Bible to spend time with God. While watching the sunset and working on my book that I am currently writing called “I am Royalty, Every young women’s battle”.
Favorite group or band: My favorite band is the worship band at my church called Lakeshore Worship. I love them.
Something people would be surprised to know about you:
Most people when looking at me would see a wild hippie girl who is full of life, and who is always smiling and cracking jokes. But what most people don’t know is that I was a cutter for 7 years, I had an eating disorder for 7 years, and that I battled suicide for 6 years of my life. That is until Jesus Christ came and healed, restored my life, and set me free from all the brokenness in my life. People will often ask me on photo shoots about how I got my scars on my arms, and what my tattoo means. It is then that I am able to tell them that I was a cutter, whose scars from my past have been made beautiful. I am currently writing my book called “I am royalty, Every young women’s battle” to bring hope to young women everywhere who are broken. So now I model to show women everywhere that they too can rise up from a painful past to make a difference in the world.
