TV personality, actress and comedienne Erica Watson brought up the question most people have been asking; “Will Kardashian Kurves Give a Real Plus-Sized Girl a Big Chance?” The question comes up because even with all the popularity surrounding the plus size industry and the potential dollars the plus size customer brings in, there are many brands and designers still scared to market to their customers with visibly plus size models.
One of the brands that has made some big changes is Ashley Stewart. In this month’s issue of PLUS Model Magazine, we sat down with “The People’s Brand” for an exclusive interview about fashion and the changes that have been made internally. The brand quit using “inbetweenie” models and have been shooting size 16 models since the beginning of the year to remarkable feedback.
