Alexandra Boos has been a model, spokesperson and consultant for the full-figured fashion industry for more than two decades. During her longtime involvement across many aspects of media and fashion, she has not only become a recognized face and trusted voice in the plus industry, but a role model helping to promote healing by inviting plus women to love themselves, regardless of their departure from the ‘traditional’ beauty standard.

Helping to launch several fashion lines, such as the plus lines from Tommy Hilfiger and Liz Claiborne, Alexandra was instrumental in helping to ‘walk the life’ of a garment from start to sales; she was in on the conception and design phase, served as the fit model, assisted in showroom sales, served as the catalogue model, walked the runway, and provided further marketing assistance to boost additional retail sales. Her comprehensive understanding of the plus size industry is one of the many reasons she has enjoyed such a lengthy career and sought-after status as both model and consultant.

Alexandra has interviewed designers, celebrities and models on camera, and has appeared as a celebrity spokesperson and fashion expert on numerous talk shows, including those hosted by Ricki Lake and Montel Williams. As a model she has been seen in commercials, on the runway, in showrooms, gracing in-store promotional posters, as well as countless catalogs, ads and magazines around the globe.

As a pioneer in the plus modeling industry Alexandra combated “fat-ism” by standing up for day-rates and professional treatment equal to that of straight-sized models.  Her contribution has helped form the industry today, paving the way for greater acceptance.
