Street style is always a great way to see what’s out there on the fashion scene and be inspired to create your own fabulous street style. We love to see a model’s street style when she’s off duty and living her everyday life. And we wanted to share that with our readers. So we will be featuring plus models in the industry who will share their street style with you and give you a glimpse into their lives.
This week, Tinder Badhesha, signed to IPM Model Management, stopped by the PLUS Model Magazine office. This beautiful plus model on the scene chatted with us about her favorite fall trends and her love for Target as well as her advice to women who are struggling with their self-esteem and more. She showed us her “model off duty” outfit and what she wears off-set. We loved her positive attitude and passion for her Indian community and we’re sure you will, too.
Name: Tinder Badhesha
Location: Los Angeles and New York
How long have you been modeling? 3 years
Where have we seen you?
“Ashley Stewart, Plus Model Magazine, SWAK Designs, YouthearyKhmer.com, Rue114, and I also walked on the runway at Full Figured Fashion Week 2013.”
Describe your style in 3 words: Effortless, Chic, Glamorous!
What fall trends are you most excited about?
“I love color and I am so glad that designers like Alexander Wang and Proenza Shouler did not shy away from bold prints and colors for their 2014 collections. I do not believe that bright bold colors are only limited to the Spring and Summer seasons; it is nice to see some color when the skies are gray.”
Confidence is key to living your best life. What is your advice to women who are still struggling with their self-esteem?
“As someone who has also battled with her own self esteem issues, I can honestly say that it all comes from within. I think women forget to show themselves love and appreciation because we put everything and everyone before ourselves. When we take some time and effort to show ourselves love, it helps boost your self-esteem. I also feel that with that time you designate for yourself, you can take a step outside of your own box and see all that you do and be able to realize your own strength and beauty.”
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
“In the next 5 years, I see myself as a successful and established international Top Model. I will progress the body positive movement within my own Indian community all over the world and change the perception that Indian women have about themselves and Indian men have about Indian women and all women, in general. I also will have my own business, be married and have children of my own.”
We are loving Tinder’s street style and how laid-back but stylish it looks. A pair of pumps and a button down shirt can really dress up jeans and give denim an elevated look. The red top gives it just the right pop of color.
