Piperlime

Gap Inc. launched Piperlime in 2006, selling shoes and handbags. Later on, the website began offering women’s and men’s clothing. In Fall 2012, the first retail Piperlime store opened in New York City. It was a place where you could find designer items at sale prices.

Both the store and the website will be shut down by the end of February 2015, Gap Inc. announced according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Gap Inc. CEO Art Peck said in the official press release:

“We are incredibly grateful to our fashion-focused, loyal customers, and proud of our dedicated employees who have been working hard to evolve the brand and test out new ideas. We plan to keep on pushing new ideas and look forward to seeing how we can apply what we’ve learned to the rest of the company as we continue to bring great products and shopping experiences to our customers.”

Gap Inc. also owns Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, and Intermix brands.
