Torrid Launches Revamped Website & That’s Not The Only Major Change… Click Here For Details
Plus size fashion retailer Torrid announced this week that they’ve revamped their website, plus added a security update. The website makeover includes a faster search feature, more filtering options such as color, size, inseam and style, larger images and video, and faster checkout with less clicks.
But that’s not the only thing that is major news to us on Torrid’s website. We heard rumblings on social media earlier this week that Torrid has started offering size 6 on their website.
Yes, you read right. SIZE 6!!!
With Eloquii adding sizes 26 and 28 to their assortment on over 60 items and using women who wear those sizes to model the clothing on their website, hearing about Torrid adding a size 6 had us feeling like Christmas came early.

With the new filtering feature, we took a look and yes, size 6 is now available on Torrid.com. However, the new size is not available on all items. Here’s the roundup we compiled from perusing the site:
- Dresses – 4 items
- Tops – 81 items
- Bottoms – 1 item (a fabulous lip print midi skirt!)
There’s no size 6’s in jackets, jeans, swim or intimates. But most of their jeans are now offered in up to size 28, which is great.
So, what does this mean?
Well, size 5 translates to a size 30/32. We’re thinking this means a size 6 translates to a size 34/36. YESSSSS! This is amazing news for those women who are over a size 26/28 and have a hard time finding stylish, cute fashion. And this is on time with the summer season. The retailer has plenty of cute basic tees, peplum tops and lace tops in size 6.
We did reach out to Torrid for more information as they have launched this very quietly. There is no mention of it anywhere on their site in a promotional capacity. No word yet from them on the new Size 6 addition. We have a feeling the retailer is rolling this out quietly to see if it will sell well and if it does, they will add the size to more items on the website. We cannot confirm if size 6 will be available in-store as of yet. As soon as we get an update, we will report it here on the blog.
