Standing out in the crowd is sure to get you noticed and when looking at the line of models strutting their stuff on the NYFW runway for Chromat, there were two models who definitely stood out… plus models Denise Bidot and Sabina Karlsson.

Chromat featured the two models in their show on Friday (9/11) and it was a welcome sight and add to the mix of eclectic models seen. Chromat is known as an unique brand that describes its clothing as “structural experiments for the human body.”

The brand is no stranger to using plus models to walk in their NYFW shows. They’ve used Bidot and Karlsson before, in their Spring 2015 show last year with Bidot opening the show.

With plus size models taking over the runways at NYFW including the Project Runway finale show, this is proof that change is happening in terms of more body diversity on the runway. Slowly but surely. Chromat is certainly pushing the door even more open in terms of showing that plus models belong on the NYFW runways too.
