British plus size fashion designer Anna Scholz is not one to be afraid of making bold statements with her clothing or in her campaigns. She is passionate about making the women who wear her clothing feel confident and beautiful, regardless of size and age.
Her latest campaign for her Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is supported by the hashtag #exclusivelyplussize and the tagline “My Favourite Age Is Now.” And to further get that point across, Scholz has tapped 55-year-old plus model Nicola Griffin as one of the faces of her latest collection.
The campaign is described by Scholz as “celebrating sophisticated and understated style” and that “model Nicola Griffin shows us that age is only a number as she displays knockout confidence and striking beauty.”
The size-16 model only began her career 18 months ago, as she states on her website:
“My children had recently flown the nest and I was looking for new opportunities. Suddenly, I had a new career knocking on my door. That was the beginning of a new chapter in my life; life as a mature model. I found an agent and haven’t looked back!”
Griffin is signed to Stanley’s Model Management, a UK agency, and from the looks of her online portfolio, she is a natural.
In the official press release from Scholz’s PR team, it states:
“Anna Scholz is a true believer that fashion should be made available to any woman, no matter her size, shape or age. These images of Nicola are a representation of a positive, strong and accomplished woman who not only loves fashion but has effortless style. An influencer who not only makes you long for what she is wearing, but also for her positive attitude. Our aim is to show that women are beautiful, strong and perfect just the way they are.”
