Are you an aspiring plus size model? Would you like to know more about how to break into the plus modeling world? Then this Modeling 101 feature is for you!

Every week, I will be answering a modeling question on the blog that are asked often by readers and aspiring models. This is a great opportunity to learn more about breaking into the business and gaining tips and honest input on how to proceed in deciding if plus modeling is the career for you.

This week’s question is…

Q: How do I start approaching agencies for representation?

A: Great question! Most agencies take online submissions. Send clear images wearing denim jeans or leggings with a color or white tank and some strappy heels or pumps. Keep it simple: simple makeup, simple nail color and simple hair.

Photos you should send:

  • One full-body photo against a wall
  • One side-shot
  • One close-up photo of your face

Just send those three photos with your email or letter including your name, TRUE height, dress size and contact information including your website, if you have one. Good luck!
