It seems singer/fashion icon Beth Ditto isn’t the only one launching a new plus size clothing in February 2016.
Designer Rachel Roy has announced that she too will be entering the plus size fashion arena in February 2016 with a new plus size clothing line as part of her Rachel Rachel Roy brand.
Roy told WWD in an exclusive interview:
“Rachel Roy is the bigger sister to Rachel Rachel Roy. She is at a point in her career where she can afford that price point. Everything can last in her wardrobe, whereas Rachel Rachel Roy can have more fun with prints and colors and take more chances.”
Her aesthetic for her straight size line Rachel Roy is geared towards the career professional or women who lead full lives. She tells WWD that the brand was created “as a need that I had to look the same way at eight in the morning and eight at night.”
Her current Rachel Rachel Roy Misses line will remain a Macy’s exclusive. No word yet as to whether or not the plus size line will be a Macy’s exclusive as well. The prices will range from $39 to $460.
