Corsets have been around since the 1800s and are most frequently known as that piece of clothing that cinched waists in, giving a woman a small waist and hourglass figure. Back then, it was considered a must for women and represented femininity. These days, corsets are worn as style staples that are sexy, edgy and bold.

This season, we’re seeing corsets being used more in detailing, such as in dresses, rompers and jumpsuits. The corset has also been elevated by some brands with the addition of a tulip or peplum hem.
