My Travel Diary to Portland Featuring Catherines Plus Sizes

Traveling with Catherines has been one of the major highlights for me in the past few years.

With them, I’ve been to upstate New York, Jamaica, Mexico and now, I can add Portland to the list.

Together with fashionistas Nicole of Curves on A Budget and Amanda of Fashion, Love and Martinis, we took in all that Portland has to offer. More than anything, I’m so happy to have had this experience with these two amazing ladies.

Day #1:

After checking in at The Nines Hotel, we got dressed and hit the town in search for some yummy food. I wore this gorgeous Striped Dimensions Dress. What I loved most was the fit; I’m not exactly a bodycon dress girl so this was a great way to show off my figure.

After dinner, we decided to call it a night so we could be well-rested for our first full day in Portland.

The following morning, I was feeling absolutely amazing. I slept in my Sunny Day Sleepshirt, which is super comfy and comes with matching panties.

Our first full day in Portland began with a ride on the tram. It was a little scary but fun. Here I’m wearing a navy Crisscross Top and Black Label Monocot Pant in white.

Once the tram ride was over, we headed to the Japanese Gardens. What an amazingly peaceful and beautiful place! We had the most fun looking at the beautiful fish and trying to figure out where to go next. Thank goodness for Amanda’s good navigating skills.

After some lunch, we headed over to the Rose Gardens. I had never been to a place so magical. Roses of every color, shape and size were there for us to smell and touch. I’m wearing the Sonata Striped Dress.

After the Rose Gardens, we went to a beautiful Lavender Field. We had the fields all to ourselves, where we got lost in the sweet scent and beauty of walking through rows of lavender and creating a bushel for ourselves. Sauvie Island was our last and final stop… and I have to say it’s the MOST BEAUTIFUL of all the places we visited. It was a REAL farm and everything that we were having for dinner that evening was grown on the island or on the farm itself.

Day 2:

What better way to start the day than to head out to the beach with your girls. I kept my look easy and breezy… I chose this great off-the-shoulder top (Folk Song Top) and paired it with activewear leggings.

After the beach, we took a ride out to a beautiful location on the mountainside. We stopped for some snacks and I came back with a bottle of Sangria and chips. <laughs>

Day #3:

Our final day in Portland was every #girlsquad’s dream! We walked around the downtown area and then headed to The Vintages to let our hair down. The Vintages offers beautifully decorated trailers with all the amenities a girl could want.

My downtown look consisted of the Danbury Layer Top and the Seamed Ankle Pant

The minute we got there, Nicole and I took a stroll around the park, on our bikes.

My afternoon look at the Vintages was the Napa Valley Sun Top and The Knit Jean.

Once we settled in, we took a walk around the fields before I played Jenga for the very first time, while sipping on wine and snacking on some cheese. Our evening ended with some laughs around the fire, making smores. (Another first for me.)

For our final evening, I’m wearing the Boho Belle Poncho with Cambridge Pants.

Thank you Catherines Plus Sizes for another amazing trip. Check out all my looks here.
