This Power Suit From Tracee Ellis Ross for JCP is Showing What Fashion Inclusivity Can Look Like
Tracee Ellis Ross’ new collection for JC Penney is giving us a taste of what fashion inclusivity can look like.
When Ross’ collection dropped a month ago, fashionistas were excited to scoop up some of the affordable styles that are available in sizes Small to 3X. And what we have been seeing is simply wonderful.
If you check out the hashtag #TER4JCP on Instagram, you will see so many images of women in many sizes, wearing pieces from the collection, showing so much diversity that it will make you want to buy some pieces.
The two most popular pieces seem to be the Bliss Robe Jacket and matching Bliss Cuff Pants in red. Priced at $103 for both pieces (and that’s without a discount), this “power” suit is not only affordable but chic, stylish and a stunner. To see this suit being worn by so many body shapes and sizes, we can’t help but salute Ross for creating a collection that transcends the lines drawn in the sand by the fashion industry.
It gives us hope that fashion will become more inclusive, including offering styles above a size 3X. Tracee, we hope you’re listening because you’re on to something here. Just see for yourself…
