Faith is proof that people want to see plus size bodies in comics.

The superheroine has become a favorite since her comic series launched in January 2016 and it’s simply because she’s relatable and inspiring.

Valiant Entertainment really made a genius move when creating this character as she’s cute, funny and has superpowers but does not look like your normal superheroine. She’s currently the only plus size superhero headlining a comic series so we can see how she has become a body positive icon in such a short time.

Now Faith has inspired a clothing line and we’re excited!

Valiant has teamed up with retailer ThinkGeek to launch a three-piece capsule collection of Faith-inspired looks, designed by Catherine Elhoffer of Elhoffer Design.

Elhoffer’s clothing is geek-inspired and she is a big fan of Faith so the partnership made sense.

Besides a cropped cardigan and longline cardigan, there’s also a unisex pullover sweater so men can show their love for Faith too! Sizes available are XS to 3X for the unisex sweater. The two women’s sweaters are available in up to size 4X. Prices range from $49.99 to $59.99.

Elhoffer told Syfy Wire:

“As a new small business, it was a shock and thrill to get an email from the amazing people at Valiant Entertainment seeking me out and asking me to design a collection for a fellow plus-size gal. The entire process has been just a roller-coaster ride of fun and excitement, and I’m just beyond ecstatic that it’s finally live and real. I’m so happy with how this business I started just two years ago has grown into making licensed apparel for such a wonderful superhero.”

She also said in an official statement:

“Valiant has been downright fantastic to team up with, and I hope to create even more with them in the future! Faith is a superhero that is close to my heart, as I’m also a plus-size girl. She’s inspired me to help save the world in the way I know how: making fashion that helps everyone feel empowered and invincible!”

We hope this means more for Faith in comics and fashion. We’d love to see more styles inspired by the beloved character.
