Mother’s Day is almost upon us and a great time to celebrate those important women in your life.
Moms come in different forms and whether you’re a mommy, grandma, auntie, godmother, your role is an important one in a child’s life. Being a mom and/or mother figure is a big responsibility and one to be celebrated. Motherhood teaches you patience, compassion and how to love unconditionally. It also shows you how strong and resilient you are.
In honor of Mother’s Day, we wanted to highlight 5 plus size mommy bloggers who inspire us all with their vulnerability, strength and of course, their beautiful little ones!
#1: Rochelle Johnson of Beauticurve // IG: @iambeauticurve
Rochelle’s cute son Creed, who will turn 2 this fall and has his own Instagram account @babicreed, is probably one of the stylish babies on the Gram. And his equally stylish mommy loves to match outfits with him and has even included Creed in some of her product ads.
A little tummy love with @Stonyfield Yobaby organic yogurts made especially for babies! It has BB-12 probiotics for happy tummies. It’s literally the only yogurt Creed will eat! Show Stonyfield your tummy love by entering their sweepstakes where you’ll have a chance to win 10k for your baby’s college education! Click the link in my bio for official entry page. #ad
Rochelle has a way of inviting us into her life of motherhood, fashion and lifestyle and we are always left wanting to know what’s next. Her Instagram feed is filled of images of her life with Creed and how she has transitioned into motherhood while still being fabulous.
#2: Darlene Lebron of Suits, Heels & Curves // IG: @suitsheelscurves
This Latina plus size blogger, influencer and activist took us on her journey of pregnancy and now we get regular peeks into her life as a first-time mommy, where she offers tips on baby care, her favorite products and the occasional messy hair day, where things may not be perfect but are so worth it. She shows us how balancing life as a full-time entrepreneur and new mommy can be challenging but is possible.
We loved following Darlene’s travel adventures with her baby girl recently when they jetted off on a family vacation to Puerto Rico. And baby Micaela Julia, affectionately known as MJ, has the best collection of hair accessories that a girl can dream of. MJ also has a group of auntie bloggers who are already planning photo shoots and shopping trips in the near future. You can check MJ’s fabulous baby style and head gear on her own Instagram account @littlemissbaeworld.
#3: Shaina Harrison of Corner Rich // IG: @outofthecorner
This new mom who is a stylist, blogger, educator and activist, has shared candidly about her experience of giving birth to her son Harrison, who is a premmie that is thriving, and how this part of her journey has inspired her to write a book and become even more active in community work, to create a better world for her son and other children in the world.

Shaina is the creator of the #fatgirlsbewinning hashtag, which now has been used over 22K times on Instagram and with Harrison’s birth, she has created the hashtag movement #thebravespace geared towards those who are put in places in their journey where they have to be brave and push through, just as she has done through Harrison’s journey.
Harrison is becoming quite a style icon himself, with his streetwear vibe that his mommy often matches with her own aesthetic. With Essie Golden of Golden Confidence fame as his godmother, you already know Harrison’s style will always be on point.
#4: Jay Miranda of JayMiranda.com // IG: @pinklip
This West Coast-based OG blogger and writer loves fashion, the color pink and girly things so when she announced her first pregnancy and that she was having a girl, we knew her daughter would be as fabulous as her, in all their pink glory. Julia is now 5, turning 6 this fall and she is going to be a big sister soon, as Jay just announced she is expecting her second child.
Jay is highly regarded as a body positive advocate in the plus size community and we love her stance that style has no size. This Latina blogger shares mommy things such as DIY gifts for Julia’s teachers, their travel adventures and kid’s fashion. Jay is truly a storyteller and we can’t wait to read the next chapter in her life when Baby #2 arrives.
#5: Sierra Holmes of Eclectic Kurves // IG: @eclectickurves
This Indiana-based blogger and mommy of two is a style chameleon! She burst onto the blogger scene two years ago and has taken it by storm. We love how she is not afraid to play with fashion, along with her makeup and hairstyles. Her daughter is a style icon in the making, which we are sure makes Sierra proud.
Though my daughter is my partner-in-fashion in this pic, my blogger boo, @simplycurvee and I are bring you a Holiday lookbook tomorrow! Keep your eyes peeled for GLAM and FUN! Ps…my daughter is a natural…thanks to @shellyruthphotography for capturing her beauty inside and out. . . . . . . . . #effyourbeautystandards #eclectickurves #fashionblogger #style #plussizestyle #styleblogger #goldenconfidence #garnerstyle #fullfigured_fashion #whatfatgirlsactuallywear #boldncurvy #bigandblunt #skorchmag #celebratemysize #eclecticvibes #blackgirlmagic #browngirlbloggers #blackgirlswhoblog #girlswithcurves #bodypositive #fashionblogger #xoq #eloquii #lifethrowscurves #garnerstylefiles #holidaylookbook
Sierra is so candid about balancing life as a mom and wife, a blogger, influencer and overall powerhouse. And her mission statement: “Being eclectic is not only cool, it’s necessary. Style should have no size constraints” shows how dope Sierra is. We can’t wait to see what’s next for her and her family.
