The brand recently produced high-fashion, street style imagery collaborating with five forces to be recognized: Maddy Jones, Kelly Augustine, Meaghan O’Connor, Maxey Greene and photographer Lydia Hudgens, to bring center-stage the beauty of all women, and the fact that year-after-year, women wearing plus size are routinely ignored by photographers in street-style shoots during international fashion weeks.
Street Style photography is at the pulse of fashion culture.
It is imperative this medium be a true representation of reality – diverse backgrounds, personal style and inspiration. To not depict diversity in ethnicity, age and size is to say it does not exist.
See Rose Go sees and hears the obvious exclusionof plus-sized women and the company set about to change this narrative.
In partnership with photographer Lydia Hudgens, See Rose Go created a Street-Style photoshoot to reflect a true representation of today’s modern woman’s beauty, one that is frequently ignored by photographers.
“Especially relevant this time of year surrounding New York Fashion Week (NYFW), this ongoing conversation around Street Style imagery centers around the lack of real-world representation within this medium, one meant to celebrate personal style,” said Erin Cavanaugh, Co-Founder of See Rose Go. “Each woman featured in our series brings her own unique story through her experience, background and self expression. The imagery by Hudgens, in conjunction with See Rose Go, will feature each woman incorporating the versatile, effortless pieces from the current See Rose Go collection into their personal style.
