Jason Wu Aims to Celebrate Women & Their Curves With His New Collection at Eloquii

The day that so many plus size fashionistas have been waiting for is here.

The highly anticipated Jason Wu x Eloquii capsule collection dropped today and social media has been buzzing in overdrive.

The 13-piece collection features plus size model and “IT” girl Paloma Elsesser in the ’50s-inspired assortment full of holiday-ready styles that are curve-friendly and so gorgeous.

“Paloma owns her own femininity and is very self confident and very comfortable with her body. And I think those are qualities that you’d want to celebrate.” [Jason Wu, Elle Magazine]

Wu also told Elle Magazine that he wanted the first collectionto be heavily driven by cocktail and evening, and November is just when you want to wear those pieces.”

So if you ever wanted to wear a piece from Jason Wu but it wasn’t available in your size, here’s your chance since the designer describes this collection as “pretty true to the DNA of Jason Wu“.

The theme of this collection is the classic LBD (Little Black Dress), which is why most of the pieces are black, with a few statement making pieces that give the collection a pop of color and shine.

All pieces are available in sizes 14 to 28 with prices ranging from $89.95 to $229.95. There’s a tux suit with a feminine touch, sequin, ruffles and dresses with shoulder detail.

Wu told Fashionista.com:

“So far [the reaction] has been amazing — there’s a lot of ‘take my money’ memes happening over there, so I was very excited about that. It’s always great to see a market that you’re not familiar with be so enthusiastic about what you do, that’s the most any designer could wish for.”

Thank you Jason Wu for not being afraid to venture into a market you’re unfamiliar with and creating something beautiful. And yes, please take all of our money!
