Today’s National Women’s Health and Fitness Day.
Not only is it important to engage in regular physical activity, but this day also serves as another way to push health awareness for women.
Dr. Linda Bacon, author of Health At Every Size: The Surprising Truth About Your Weight, said in her book:
“Several studies have shown that when people increase their activity they also increase their self-confidence, self-acceptance, and sense of personal worth and feel more comfortable in their bodies.”
You don’t have to be active just to lose weight. Being active can be fun and it will boost your confidence while making you feel good. From walking and roller skating to bike riding and playing tennis, getting physical means just simply moving your body.

And if your body can’t do certain activities or poses, they can be modified to accommodate you. You just have to find the activity that’s perfect for you and that you love.
