Such a surreal moment to see myself included in InStyle’s roundup of best plus-size street style at fashion week😭😍 The amazing @lydiahudgens created this plus-only gallery a few seasons ago because photographers at fashion week are known for constantly ignoring fat fashionistas. It’s incredibly saddening when I see my fat friends wearing designer clothing but are ignored by photographers, but thin (mostly white) influencers wearing jeans, a T-shirt and a fanny pack are constantly stopped on the street. I’m in awe of Lydia’s work and am so honored to have been shot by her. As a plus-size man working in fashion, I’m often the only person like me in the room, which can be difficult at times. That’s exactly why moments like these make me cry and push me to keep working hard💕
