Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide?
PartnerYes, one in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. But thanks to research there is HOPE!
This month I’ve joined my friends at Lane Bryant, Cacique, and sister brand Catherines Plus Sizes to spread awareness and support for their campaign Research is the Reason, which highlights the importance of research in the fight against Breast Cancer.
What you need to know about this campaign:
The brands are supporting two research initiatives funded by BCRF: a project seeking to identify new therapeutic options for triple-negative and BRCA-driven breast cancers, as well as a project aimed to improve the quality of life of female breast cancer survivors.

How can you join this initiative?
Lane Bryant and Cacique will offer multiple opportunities for clients to contribute to BCRF:
o Donate While You Shop: Through Sunday, November 3, 2019, clients can make a personal donation to BCRF by “rounding up” their purchase at the register in-store (to the nearest dollar or add $2, $5 or $10).
o BCRF-Dedicated Collection: Lane Bryant will offer exclusive BCRF-inspired LIVI activewear and Cacique Intimates, as well as jewelry and accessories, where 10% of the purchase price will be contributed to BCRF.
I’m doing my part by rounding up my purchase price and shopping the BCRF collection from both brands…
I would love to see your looks as well and help support all those affected by Breast Cancer, from recently diagnosed, to Thrivers, Caretakers, and those who lost their battle with this terrible disease.

Lastly, if you know someone who is going through this journey and has had a mastectomy, they will need a lot of support and Cacique is committed to taking part in her journey.
The design team at Cacique Intimates worked diligently with The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute to specially design the mastectomy bras.
The team met with a surgeon, who explained that each breast reconstruction is different, and results can vary from patient to patient.
The Cacique design team also met with mastectomy patients and they emphasized a desire and emotional need to feel pretty and feminine post-opp.
The Cacique mastectomy bras were designed with a feminine touch.
The NEW mastectomy bras will be available on Cacique.com and will be offered in sizes 36DD-DDD, 38-44 C-F and 46-50 C-DDD.
Please share this information with your friends and family. Research is the reason why we have there are more than 3.5 million survivors in the U.S. today.
