Chef and journalist Latoya Shauntay Snell is a plus size athlete icon. The ultrarunner has shown the world that athletes come in all sizes. Being heckled at the NYC Marathon in 2017 and writing about her experience for The Root propelled her to body positive leader status. Since then, she has been tapped as the brand ambassador or been featured in campaigns for many major brands such as SuperFit Hero, Blink Fitness and Tampax.

She runs a podcast titled “The Long Run” with fellow plus size runner and athlete Martinus Evans of @300poundsandrunning and blogs at Running Fat Chef. She travels worldwide to not only run marathons, but also speak on panels to the next generation of runners. Her journey has led her to be one of the leading Black female activists in the athlete space and we know she will do amazing things to continue to push the message that you can be active at any size.
