Hawes is an Atlanta-based photographer who has become one of the leading figures in the big and tall male fashion and lifestyle world. Under his brand XL Tribe, he has a successful website that has become a resource for big and tall men, a magazine. his XL Shoots photography business, a podcast and a design firm to help other men create their own tribe.
His latest project focuses on showing imagery of Black men smiling, which is a must-see. He continues to give more visibility to not only black men and big and tall men but anyone of color. Whether it’s by pen, video or camera, Hawes is on a mission to change the narrative when it comes to marginalized bodies.
