#1: Rebecca Alexander – Entrepreneur, author, and activist

Alexander is truly an amazing example of someone who serves her community in a fresh, out-of-the-box way. In 2018, the entrepreneur founded AllGo, a review app designed for plus-size people that provides accessibility information so others can know what those places are like for people of size.

In 2019, she co-founded Plus Size For, the first-ever line of political graphic tees in sizes XS to 6X. In the same year, she also launched a collection of plus size stock images that she offers to the public for free.

When looking for images to use for her own businesses, she saw there was a lack of photos of plus-size people doing normal things and when she did find them, the fees were high. So she created her own.

2019 also saw Alexander become an author. A Kids Book About Body Imagetakes the conversation around body image head-on, helping kids not only love their own bodies the way they are, but understand how corporations and capitalism profit from keeping us insecure. The book highlights common body image concerns experienced by kids of all races, genders, and sizes“.
