Kiyonna Setting Precedent By Showing Plus Size Fashion On Real Women Models Sizes 0X to 5X
“Show it in my size!” KiyonnaTM Clothing, one of the leading labels to design fashionable clothing for plus size women, has done exactly that. Setting precedent in the plus size fashion industry, KiyonnaTM brings an un-airbrushed, un-staged view of their designs on real women between the sizes of 0x to 5x (10-32) through a new but permanent site feature, Real Curves.
Launched in the 4th quarter of 2011, the Real Curves section of Kiyonna.com now gives customers the visual ability to imagine the garment on themselves. As a clothing company committed to dressing curvy women, the team does not believe that shape sketches or singular posed photos can dynamically represent their diverse customers. Real Curves provides photos of real women of different sizes, statures, ethnicities and age in order to help the customer envision Kiyonna’sTM clothes on themselves while shopping. The Real Curves category breaks down images by size and featured Real Curves Cutie. The real women in the Real Curves section can also be found on product pages throughout the company’s website, thus giving customers a varied and realistic view of how a garment can look on them.

Denise Bidot and Swimsuits For All have jointly unveiled the SwimStar All Stars nationwide search, dedicated to discovering emerging talent in the realm of swimsuit modeling. Encouraging aspiring models to share their personal narratives, the initiative aims to inspire women of all backgrounds, shapes, and sizes. Following a rigorous selection process, Brittany Wilborn, Camryn Henry, and Sharon Clawson emerged as the chosen winners. In January 2024, these models embarked on a transformative journey to Harbour Island, where they had the unparalleled opportunity to shoot alongside Denise under the expert direction of internationally acclaimed photographer and director, Ben Watts.
