This month we welcome back plus size model Denise Bidot who was last seen on our cover in the Denim August 2010 issue. The model and woman she has become in two years is remarkable; we are excited for you to see her first swimwear editorial for PLUS Model Magazine, and read about her life and return to television in NUVO TV’s Curvy Girls.
We are so happy to celebrate Mother’s Day with a special pictorial photographed by Victoria Janashvili featuring model Sage Salzer Miller and her precious little girl. Continuing our celebration of women who are doing it all, we are also bringing you interviews with Cocoa Brown, currently starring in Tyler Perry’s “For Better or Worse” and Goo Goo Atkins, sister to Gospel group Mary Mary, wardrobe stylist currently starring in the WE TV Reality Show “Mary Mary”.
Joining the PLUS Model Magazine family is Tia D. Rudd, who will be our Entertainment and Celebrity contributor. Tia has a lot of spunk and is one of the most plus positive women I know.
We are so proud to announce, PLUS Model Magazine as the Top Media Sponsor for Full Figured Fashion Week 2012, we will be bringing you exclusive photos, interviews and behind the scenes at all the events and activities. We are also so proud two of our staff members will receive awards during the awards ceremony. Lastly, PLUS Model Magazine pays special tribute to Mia Amber Davis Yard who passed away one year ago on May 10th. Mia was kind, gentle, spiritual and honest. She loved the plus size industry and the women she met. Mia was a special friend and role model to many who knew her. Many continue to honor her name by telling her story and continuing her vision for this industry. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family, and husband, Michael Yard.

Swimsuits For All, a pioneer in inclusive swimwear, proudly introduces its inaugural SwimStar All Stars campaign in partnership with renowned plus-size model and Swimsuits For All ambassador, Denise Bidot. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, nearly a decade following Denise’s groundbreaking “Beach Body, Not Sorry” campaign with Swimsuits For All in 2015, which showcased unretouched imagery aimed at promoting unapologetic confidence.
Denise Bidot and Swimsuits For All have jointly unveiled the SwimStar All Stars nationwide search, dedicated to discovering emerging talent in the realm of swimsuit modeling. Encouraging aspiring models to share their personal narratives, the initiative aims to inspire women of all backgrounds, shapes, and sizes. Following a rigorous selection process, Brittany Wilborn, Camryn Henry, and Sharon Clawson emerged as the chosen winners. In January 2024, these models embarked on a transformative journey to Harbour Island, where they had the unparalleled opportunity to shoot alongside Denise under the expert direction of internationally acclaimed photographer and director, Ben Watts.
