The film “A Perfect 14” continues to shed light on breaking size barriers within the fashion industry.

The critically acclaimed and award-winning documentary film is back with a red carpet screening in NYC on Thursday, June 6th, hosted by Women’s International Film & Arts Festival on their opening night.
The film follows the journeys of three plus-size models and how they navigate the fashion industry. It’s a film showing how these models fought to reshape the world of fashion and the beauty standards of society.
One of those models, Elly Mayday, passed away earlier this year so this film is especially meaningful.
And that’s not all.
On Friday, June 7th, Women’s Film Fest will also be hosting the ‘Plus Size Fashion and Representation in Mainstream Media’ panel, which will include a stellar group of panelists including Giovanna Morales and James Earl O’Brien, Director and Producer of A Perfect 14.
The other four panelists are powerhouse women within the industry, who are recognized as pioneers in the progress that has been made throughout the last decade.
We’re excited to announce that our own Editor-in-Chief Maddy Jones is one of those panelists, along with:
- Liris Crosse, First Plus Model Winner of Project Runway & Actress
- Katya Zharkova, Russian Plus Model, TV Host & TV Producer
- Anastasia Garcia, Fashion Photographer and Advisory Board Member of Consider the Image.
