This Brand’s Latest Activewear Campaign Pushes The Size Diversity Envelope

Have you seen Lane Bryant’s latest Livi Active campaign?

We have and we LOVE it.

The new “This Body is Changing The Game” campaign features four athletes of different shapes and sizes. And when we say that, we truly mean that.lb-jessamyn-image1

Many past campaigns, including some of Lane Bryant’s,  have missed the mark in showing full size diversity and have incurred intense criticism because of that.

The cry for size and body diversity has been especially loud this year with all the major milestones that happened in 2016. And finally, Lane Bryant has answered that call.

We noticed that the retailer has been featuring more customers and employees on their site lately and they have done a great job in showing customers how styles will look/fit via several sizes and body shapes.

With Lane Bryant being one of the few large retailers to offer above a size 24, this is key to truly reaching ALL their customers.

They also featured visibly plus actress Gabourey Sidibe in their last #ThisBody campaign, which was a hit with customers as well.

The four athletes that are the faces of Lane Bryant’s new Livi Active campaign are all amazing in their own right and are game-changers in the plus size world:

There’s videos for each athlete as well as some inspiring quotes, as a way for us to get to know them better.

We are loving this campaign so much and honestly, it does make us want to buy some activewear and get to moving. So kudos to Lane Bryant for an amazing campaign that is pushing the size diversity envelope. We hope this will convince other retailers to continue to do the same.
