White House Black Market Expands Their Size Range With The Launch of WHBM Plus

Another popular women’s clothing retailer has entered the plus size fashion arena.

And our plus size fashion options just got a little bit better.

White House Black Market is now offering extended sizes of its upscale workwear essentials and from we see on social media, major bloggers and style influencers are in love.

The new plus size collection from WHBM includes 59 styles in sizes 16W to 24W, with plus size model Candice Huffine as the face of the campaign.

Huffine herself recently launched her own activewear line Day/Won, which is available in sizes 0 to 32. She has become an advocate for pushing the message that fashion should be accessible to women of all sizes.

While the major PRO to this collection is that there’s lots of on-trend styles to choose from, like velvet blazers and tops, embellished denim, holiday party dresses and even a must-have blush sequin cami top, we still think WHBM has a ways to go in truly solidifying its place in the plus size market.

Some may balk at the price points, such as $110 for that before-mentioned gorgeous blush sequin cami top and $200 for a bell-sleeve lace shift dress. Also, not all of WHBM’s assortment is available in plus sizes and the extended sizes are available online only.

However, this is a step in the right direction. WHBM is not a fast fashion brand and they offer quality pieces at pricing that is considered lower than average in comparison to other similar high-end brands. Basically, if plus sizes sell, we’re sure they will increase the number of items offered in plus sizes. We’ve been crying for more fashion options in plus sizes so we’re happy to see more brands and retailers making an effort to include plus sizes in their assortment.
