Avenue to Host Mega Fashion Show & Model Search This Weekend
Avenue is looking for a fresh face to front their Fall 2019 campaign.
In the spirit of their recent #YourConfidenceisShowing campaign and brand re-launch dedicated to celebrating their customer, the plus size fashion retailer is hosting its largest, nationwide fashion show, simultaneously in every store, on one day, to look for its next fresh face for a retail and fashion campaign next year after a month-long model search.
Last fall, Avenue launched a new shopping app to accommodate their growing e-Commerce customer base and they are continuing to elevate their shopping experience in-store as well.
In a recent interview with PMM Editor-in-Chief Maddy Jones, Chief Merchandising Officer Nancy Viall and Chief Marketing Officer Steve Silbaugh both shared how they are on a mission to give their customers a great brand experience, primarily by listening to Her and what she wants from Avenue.
This fashion show is a major part of that initiative with:
- Customers walking the “catwalk” and sharing photos in Avenue’s social selfie campaign #ConfidenceIs.
- Avenue employees helping dress and find clothes for customers to walk in the fashion show.
- Customers and participants getting the opportunity to get their photo snapped in front of the official Avenue step-and-repeat banner.
- Customers being able to shop styles off the runway and get 15% off their purchase.
If you’re in the NYC area, PMM will be in the building at the Atlantic Terminal location in Brooklyn, NYC (139 Flatbush Avenue).
At this location, Avenue’s sister brand Loralette is available and you can also ship to store as well.

Day: Saturday, April 13, 2019
Time: 2 p.m. E.T.

Founded nearly 30 years ago, Avenue is a veteran in the plus size fashion industry, one of the first plus size fashion retailers to cater to women sizes 14 to 32. Kudos to them for their willingness to evolve with their customer while maintaining their core mission of serving her key fashion styles she loves.

Following a rigorous selection process, Brittany Wilborn, Camryn Henry, and Sharon Clawson emerged as the chosen winners. In January 2024, these models embarked on a transformative journey to Harbour Island, where they had the unparalleled opportunity to shoot alongside Denise under the expert direction of internationally acclaimed photographer and director, Ben Watts.
