The term “plus size male model” has been a hot topic this past year. When PLUS Model Magazine was looking for a male model to feature in our last issue of the year, we searched for someone with a positive body image that genuinely embraced what we are all about. We chose hunky Tremayne Williams to accompany the very sexy Kristen Madison on the cover and it was magic.
Get to know more about him… and ladies, he’s single!
Maddy: Can you tell us a little about yourself and why you were interested in working with PLUS Model Magazine?
Tremayne: I’m a native New Yorker and work as a general mechanic. I’m extremely handy and I love playing chess, working out and having fun (I’m a big joker).
You always see yourself different than how other people see you. For as long as I can remember, people have been telling me to try my hand at modeling. When the opportunity came along, I decided to go with it.
Maddy: In the modeling industry, you are classified a plus size model. Does the term “plus size” make you feel a certain way?
Tremayne: I absolutely embrace the term PLUS SIZE and I want 2016 to be the year that plus size male models get to the next level. To me, being plus size is not something you should be ashamed of. I know I’m not a small man and that’s fine. All women are beautiful and plus size women should own their beauty. You are PLUS!
Maddy: You are very fit, what does your regimen look like?
Tremayne: I was not always fit, it’s a lot of discipline. To me, being fit is about being healthy and not necessarily about how you look. I’ve been bigger and smaller than I am now. One day, I started to eat healthy and work out regularly and I am at my healthiest right now.
Maddy: Where do you see yourself 20 years from now?
Tremayne: I live day-to-day… I mean, my goal is to be a millionaire and live in a mansion but I think that’s everyone’s goals. <laughs> I just want to stay focused and be a better person every day.
Maddy: Our readers want to know about you… how would you describe yourself?
Tremayne: I’m very humble and down to earth. I love to eat and laugh.
Maddy: Do you have a girlfriend? And if you are single, what characteristics do you look for in a woman?
Tremayne: I am single at the moment. She does not have to be of a particular race or body type. I’m really interested in someone that is smart with a good sense of humor that loves children and can be carefree.
