This Size Inclusive Brand Tapped Actress Lea DeLaria to Front its Latest Campaign & It’s Fabulous

This brand truly means ALL when it says it caters to ALL women.

At a time when many fashion brands claim to be inclusive yet stop at a size 22/24, designer Jeff Cafone is setting out to truly offer inclusion to all women in an untapped market… leather outerwear.

His brand All67 offers custom and ready-to-wear leather jackets up to size 30! To further push his message of inclusive fashion, he gathered a diverse group of women of varying shapes, sizes and color to star in his recently launched campaign to promote the rebranding of his line.

Fronting the campaign is actress Lea DeLaria, most known for her role as “Big Boo” on the popular Netflix series Orange is the Black

Cafone, known for his high quality leather jackets, has designed jackets for some of DeLaria’s castmates including plus size actress Danielle Brooks, who also recently launched her own capsule collection with contemporary plus size fashion brand Universal Standard.

On what led him to create a plus size leather jacket business for women, he told us exclusively:

“Two years ago, I started a custom leather jacket business for people of all shapes and sizes. The pieces were all bespoke made-to-measure for each client. I found that when I was fitting women who wore larger sizes, the feedback was, ‘Wow this is amazing, I’ve never had access to something of this quality that looks and feels like this!’ I honestly didn’t think too much about it at first. That’s not my life. I’m a male, for starters, not a plus size woman. But I was getting that feedback more and more, so at a certain point I decided, ‘Okay, let me take a look at why people are telling me this. What is the state of Plus size fashion?’ My mind was totally blown. I was shocked at the lack of quality pieces and the complete absence of luxury brands.”

Cafone also explained the meaning behind the new brand name All67:

“There are multiple reasons for the change, but first and foremost, ‘All 67′ represents the inclusivity and community-driven vision I have for my brand moving forward. You probably know where the ’67’ comes from – It is the most widely cited number of the percentage of women who are plus size in America. As a non-plus male designer, I don’t want to center myself – I think it’s important to be conscious about my position in the community, and I want the name of my brand to reflect my mission and message. I am here to ‘listen to’ rather than ‘talk at’. This is the reason my brand exists in the first place. ‘All 67’ is my way of solidifying those ideals in a name, and ensuring that my brand remains For, Of, and With the plus community at all times.”

When speaking of the campaign, Cafone couldn’t help but smile, saying:

“The all-size campaign was the most fun I’ve ever had on a photo shoot! It was amazing to work with empowered women from all backgrounds to highlight the extended size range and adaptability offered by All 67. I had a personal relationship with most of the women involved, and the majority of them were prior customers. I predict that in the next few years, we will see an increase in representation and inclusivity of size, shape, gender, sexuality, and ethnicity in fashion. I want to be an active participant in that change.”

Cafone is definitely on to something. The leather jacket is one of the best investments a woman can make in her life since it is a closet staple that never goes out of style. The fact that he is willing to listen to feedback and work with plus size women to get the fit right is a positive sign.

So what does Cafone see in All67’s future?

“I’m focused on continuing to make the best plus size leather jackets. Moto jackets are timeless statement pieces that empower the wearer and work for any style and demographic. The pieces are made from premium leather and suede, and offer options such as a detachable fur collar. They were designed to fit a vast array of plus body types throughout the 12-30 size range. I plan to keep designing new products and moving forward by listening to my clients’ needs. The eventual plan is to have an entire line of elevated seasonless luxury pieces. But for right now, I want to solidify my role as THE jacket brand for plus!”
