‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a stitch of clothing to wear not even a blouse.
The stockings were hung by the shower rod with care,
In hopes that USPS soon would be there.
My gifts were arranged aesthetically under the tree,
While visions of new clothing: my only holiday plea.
My friends in their sequins, and me in my sweats,
Simply nothing to wear and full of regrets.
When out on the steps there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my laptop to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutter and threw up the sash.
The streetlight shone down on the freshly mowed grass,
Gave the luster of new styles and sass.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a brown packaged box! My outfit in the clear!
With purple text on the side, and for 30 days free,
I knew in a moment it must be Gwynnie Bee!
With more clothes than the stores, in boxes they came
With skirts, and dresses, and oh, what’s that designers name?

To my virtual closet! To the prioritize list!
I hope there’s not a style my closet missed!
And then, in a sparkling flash,
I tore open the package in the blink of an eyelash.
Inside new items awaited for me,
There would be more to light up this holiday besides the tree.
I slipped into my new dress, then two, and three,
Much to my delight my worries were freed,
A fit & flare stunner sure to delight,
But the winner was a lacey number that fit just right.
The duds got tossed right back into the bag,
To be sure that my New Year’s shipment would not lag.
Then I fancied myself up in the winner,
Right in the nick of time for our holiday dinner.
