7 Things To Do This Summer That’ll Help You Discover More About Yourself

Summer is here!

That means it’s time for sun, sand, and s’mores—and it’s also the perfect time to take some time for yourself. Here are seven things you should do this summer that’ll help you discover more about yourself and make your dreams come true:

1. Go on a road trip!

Traveling alone is a great way to get to know yourself better—and what better place than in an environment where you can just be yourself?

2. Start a new hobby!

Whether it’s painting, writing poetry, or learning how to play the guitar, taking up a new hobby will help you explore who you really are on the inside.

3. Do something nice for someone else!

Doing things for other people reminds us of all the amazing things we have going for ourselves—and how much we have going for others as well! It’s good karma all around!

4. Visit an art gallery in town.

It doesn’t matter what kind of art you’re into—the point is just to expand your horizons. Who knows? You might find a new favorite artist while browsing through their work!

5. Try something new with food!

Pick up some ingredients at the farmer’s market and make an entirely new recipe for dinner tonight! Or if cooking isn’t really your thing, go out for ice cream or pancakes instead. Whatever it is, come up with a plan before going into the grocery store so that you don’t end up with random ingredients that are hard to use together (like tomatoes and lettuce).

6. Get some exercise.

Exercise is one of the best ways to get in touch with yourself. It helps keep you mentally sharp, helps you sleep better at night, and might even help prevent heart disease. Plus, it feels great! There are lots of different kinds of exercise: running, walking, swimming—any activity where you’re moving your body is good for your mind and body.

7. Find someone who’s different from you and learn about them

Maybe even ask them questions or try listening instead of talking for once! Try doing this for an hour every day for 30 days straight.

Summer is the perfect time to discover more about yourself. It’s easy to get lost in the day-to-day grind, but when you have time off, it’s a great chance to take a step back and look at your life from a different perspective. You owe yourself a summer of self-discovery and endless self-love!
