“Real” Women Size 14 and Up Wear Always For Me Swimwear for PLUS Model Magazine’s Spring Issue
Editor’s note: The term “real women” used in this article is meant to describe women who are unsigned non-professional models who are PMM readers. In our opinion, ALL women are real, no matter what your size, shape, professional or background.
Our latest Real Women/Real Model series will be featured in our March 2015 issue, launching March 1st. In this editorial, we partnered with plus size fashion retailer Always For Me for a Real Women/Real Adventure photoshoot, featuring their stylish and flattering swimwear.
The five lucky winners chosen come from various backgrounds and represent strength, confidence and size diversity. We truly loved shooting these amazing women, who had fun in front of the camera and exuded body confidence and pride.

We cheered when Sports Illustrated featured two plus-size models in its annual swimsuit issue. After all, more than 67 percent of women in the United States wear a size 14 or larger. Seeing images of women in magazines that reflect our size-diverse society is critical.
But one swimsuit issue is not enough. The March issue of PLUS Model Magazine will be available online on March 1, 2015.
A recent college graduate with a degree in physics, an aspiring criminal psychologist, an artist, and an opera singer are among the “Real Women” who were photographed and will be featured in the PMM March issue. (Please note these are “Real Women” because they are unsigned, nonprofessional models. Certainly, women of all sizes are “real.”)
