I love this time of year, the festive colors, music, fashion, and of course being able to set work aside to spend time with your family and friends.
I remember the first time I really spent time with our cover model Rochelle Johnson, we were on a brand-sponsored trip upstate and it was during this time of the year.
We had met previously but living under the same roof for a few days definitely opens up the opportunity to see more than just what’s on the surface.
Rochelle was everything we see on her social media channels before it was “a thing” to be authentic. She was warm and so kind, and her sweet soft voice makes everything she says almost into a poem.
One of the things I love most about social media is our ability to connect with others and Rochelle has opened her life and style to all of us. Voted Curvy Influencer of The Year, she has become our friend, our style inspiration and our bestie rolled up into one beautiful soul.
After a whirlwind year, I’m so incredibly happy to end the year with a cover model who represents the good in our industry. Someone who keeps it very real (read her interview) and who makes no pretenses about the highs and lows of life. I hope she’s as inspiring to you as she is to me.
